Coke sip and scan9/6/2023 And that’s what you want your brand schemes to revolve around. To go back to Tom Daly, “within the arm’s reach of desire” is what Robert Woodruff, Coca-Cola’s president from 1923 until 1954, described the role of the company’s brand strategy. At the helm of smart labeling, QR Codes help you link consumers to product details like ingredients, manufacturer, provenance and ingredient sourcing. Tom Daly, global group director for mobile strategy and spotting trends at The Coca-Cola Company stated in 2016, “My job is pretty simple: I have to make sure that if consumers have a mobile phone in one hand, then I need to put a coke in the other.” In the effort to make products and their ingredients more transparent, QR Codes have risen to the occasion. QR Codes are the bridge between digital and print, yes, but they are also an alternative way to enjoy traditional marketing. maybe they treat their consumers better? maybe i should find out.So you thought digital marketing was coming to give the boot to print. their shares over last 5 years have trounced ko. I won't be voting as the board recommends next time - an upper management that tolerates (maybe even encourages?) the alienation of loyal consumers is not worthy of my support. coca-cola, you've ventured too far off the path and have lost your orientation. mcr is supposed to be, or started as, a loyalty program. my status as a customer is determined if i tweet? how stupid! do i buy more coke or cheerwine? or rc cola? that decision, of putting a carton of cokes or someone else's drink into my grocery cart is what should drive a consumer loyalty program. how about 276 shares of ko? how about a decades-long consumer who purchases overpriced 12-packs when they're not on sale? one who used to be called a loyal consumer with over 4000 points can now only redeem at "bronze" level, excuse me, bronze "status" because i don't live on social media? that's insulting and a shame. maybe they treat their consumers better? maybe i should find out. Question: Facebook? twitter? no thank you. like so much of corporate America these days. Such a sad and pathetic joke they've become. There's very little chance that I'll be supporting their ridiculous agenda any longer. How will I ever survive without my precious Woka Cola? I guess I'll find out. There's no way in the world I'll waste my time entering codes into this lame excuse for a "customer incentive" program. What are we ever going to do when it's all over? Anyone who's anyone has it or has had it. What the hell is that? Does coke not know that most people are no longer concerned with CoVid and simply living their lives, while organizations like COKE continue to perpetuate the scaredemic? Sure, "Omicron" is all the rage right now. I mean, at this stage of the game, all but two of the so-called rewards are for "CoVid support". What kind of reward is it that I can spend my money on their product and the only benefit I get from the program is that I am allowed to submit codes so that COKE can donate to questionable charitable causes and reap all the rewards for themselves? What happened to rewarding the CUSTOMER? What used to be a mediocre rewards program is now a horrifically bad rewards program.
